Meet Dr. L. Eric Pulver

L. Eric Pulver received his Bachelor Degree of Science, in biology from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto in 1989. Doctor Pulver trained as a Hospital-based General Practice Resident at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He then furthered his studies as a clinical fellow in the Osseo-integration (Dental Implant) Unit, Dept. of Prosthodontics, at the University of Toronto under Dr. George Zarb. He received his Diploma in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in 1995.
Doctor Pulver has served as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Dental School. He has been a past Director of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery at Michael Reese Hospital, where he was responsible for Resident Education. Doctor Pulver has served as a member of the Craniofacial Cleft Lip & Palate team associate with the Shriner’s Organization. He held the position of Clinical Associate Professor and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Medical Centers from 1999-2006. Dr. Pulver was the Team Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey league from 1996-2006.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and a Fellow of the Royal college of Dentists of Canada. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgeons and a member of the Illinois & Chicago society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the Northwest Indiana Dental Association. Dr.Pulver is certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has been certified by the American College of surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support and is certified as an instructor in Basic Life Support.
Dr. Pulver‘s training, expertise and dedication in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery enables him to provide patients and dental professionals with specialized dental care, education, consultation, advice and attention. Patients seen can be treated for conditions related to the facial bones, skin, teeth and associated structures of the head and neck region.
